Grants for Individuals

Accessibility Grant

This grant is designed to assist graduate students by offsetting costs either as an independent grant or in conjunction with the existing Travel and Professional Development Grants.

Professional Grants

The Professional Grant provides financial assistance for costs associated with academic and professional development to graduate students

Small Research Grant

The Small Research Grant offsets fully/partially the cost involved with pursuing independent research that otherwise would require self funding. PGSG recognizes that graduate students should not have to bear the additional burden of costs associated with pursuing independent research that is not funded in any capacity by grants provided internally or externally in Purdue University. This grant will not serve as an addendum to offset excess expenses incurred by researchers from pursuing work related to other projects that have alternate funding resources.

Travel Grants

The Travel Grant provides funding for graduate students to present Purdue research at academic conferences.

Transitional Housing Grant

The Transitional Housing Grant (THG) provides funding for students experiencing a financial burden due to an unplanned gap in their access to housing. By funding temporary access to essentials like housing and storage, the grant aims to keep Purdue graduate students safe and healthy during difficult housing transitions.
